Many of these Jews used to come to Jerusalem every year to celebrate the important holidays of their religion. One of these feasts was the Feast of Weeks, the day of Pentecost. So when the disciples of the resurrected Jesus began to speak in tongues, many of these Jewish pilgrims who had come from other lands heard the commotion and gathered to see what was going on. He was surprised to see that these common people from Galilee were praising God in their language. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, these disciples were speaking in languages they had never learned before, but now they were speaking those languages with utmost eloquence.

Fellowship With Other Believers (With You)
One who has true fellowship with God is always eager to be with those who love God. Fellowship and partnership enable believers to grow in their faith and build one another up. Fellowship and community give us more strength to face the enemy. One of Satan's tactics is to keep believers away from the church and fellowship so that he can better weaken and destroy them.

The Fifth Part - the Birth of the Church at Pentecost

The Fifth Part - the Birth of the Church at Pentecost (Peace and Joy in Christ)
What did the event of Pentecost mean to those who were present there? What does it mean for us today? Pentecost in the Greek word means fiftieth, which was the name of one of the three Jewish feasts in the Torah. In the New Testament; The day of Pentecost is the descent of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church on earth. Jesus Christ bought the church with his body and blood, and the church is God's house on earth.

Pentecost and the Descent of the Holy Spirit

Pentecost and the Descent of the Holy Spirit (Peace and Joy in Christ)
The word Pentecost reminds every Christian, everywhere, of the glorious sight of the tongues of fire being placed on the heads of the early Christians and the miraculous gift of tongues as a sign of the Holy Spirit. In the Old Testament, God Jehovah wrote the law on stone tablets and gave it to the people. In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is given by the Father and the Son, and through him, he writes his law of love on the human heart. So what did this event mean for those who were present there? And what does it mean for us today?

Fasting and Accompanying Rituals 2023 1402

Fasting and Accompanying Rituals 2023 1402 (Seasonal Programmes)
People usually appear to be fasting and pretend to be humble. They bow their heads and sit in ashes, an act that implies humility and mourning. But according to God, all this is for show. Their outward actions appear to honour God, but this honour is not in their hearts. Worse than this, their normal and daily behaviour remains as bad as before. How can they expect God to listen to their prayers and acknowledge their fasting? Fasting means a time for self-denial, self-examination, and repentance from sins. But some people fast just to get attention from God and to feel good about themselves. God does not listen to the prayers of two-faced, hypocritical people.

Salvation From Sin, Eternal Death and God's Wrath

Salvation From Sin, Eternal Death and God's Wrath (With You)
The only one who saves man from sin, eternal death and God's wrath is Jesus Christ. He is the sacrificial lamb whose blood washes away the sins of erring human beings. Jesus can do this because he was without sin, completely innocent, and pure. He is the Saviour that God had said would come. He is the promised Messiah that all the Jews hoped and waited for.

What Is the Meaning of Jesus' Name?

What Is the Meaning of Jesus' Name? (With You)
Jesus is the only one in the world who can save people. A sinful man needs a saviour, not a religion. Not only is the human body healed from physical illness through the name of Jesus, but more importantly, souls are also saved from spiritual illness (that is, sin) through the name of Jesus. Some ask: Why do Christians preach so much? Why don't they let other people follow their own religion? The reason is that faith in Jesus Christ leads to the salvation and life. Therefore, followers of Jesus Christ have a mission to convey this important news to the world.

What Is Baptism?

What Is Baptism? (With You)
Baptism is a sign of the beginning of a new life. Our sins are not forgiven by our being baptised. Our sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ. In baptism, we show that we obey the command of Jesus Christ. The followers of Jesus Christ are not baptised to become believers, but they are baptised because they are believers. Our salvation does not depend on being baptised. Baptism is also a demonstration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the world.

The Coming of the Holy Spirit (With You)
The day of Pentecost coincides with the fiftieth day after the resurrection of Jesus. In Greek, Pentecost means fifty. According to the Old Testament, Pentecost was celebrated on the fiftieth day after the Jewish Passover Sunday, which for Christians is the fiftieth day after Easter. Jews celebrate the Feast of Weeks on Pentecost. They celebrate on this day for another reason: They believe that God gave them the law on that day. Therefore, it was very appropriate for God to give the gift of the Holy Spirit to the disciples for the first time on that day. It should be noted that Pentecost is also the birthday of the church.
