Khan Wali: A Man Who Breaks the Tradition

Khan Wali: A Man Who Breaks the Tradition (Colour of Life)
The reprehensible custom of giving child brides to settle disputes is common in our country. Khan Wali is a man who objects to outrageous and shocking customs like this in his native Paktiya. He wants to abolish these practices not only from his own province, but from the whole country. He relates some painful stories from his home province. Girls in Afghanistan who are given as peace offerings are not treated as human beings when they enter the home of their enemies. They are viewed as enemies and murders. They are beaten every day. They are forced to do hard labour. They suffer in other cruel ways and often die in mysterious circumstances. And these acts are all considered acceptable in a “compensation marriage”. All these cruel acts are criminal, abhorrent and inhuman.

Warning to the Rich (With You)
When we look at these verses, we see how the rich exploit the helpless and oppressed. They take advantage of their energy and hard work, and do not pay them. God hears the cries of such people and sends pain and suffering to the rich who love money. From these verses we learn that whether we are employers or workers, we must recognize that God is present in our lives, and we must do what is right.

How to Know Your Enemy (Peace and Joy in Christ)
The word of God says: Be alert and awake like a soldier who is ready to fight. Satan tries to lead us to sin and disobedience in order to destroy us in this way; swallow The purpose of his destruction that he wants is to distance us from God and the believers. He wants to kill doubts and temptations in our minds. There is no need for us to have a low self-esteem and think that we are weak, of course we are weak! But God and the Holy Spirit are higher and stronger than the evil spirit. Let's try to know who is our enemy today? Do we know the tactics of the enemy?

Peace With Myself

Peace With Myself (With You)
Peace literally means harmony and reconciliation. It is the opposite of war. Peace means resolving differences and coming to agreement. Peace with self means that we become our own "closest" friend. We must clear our mind of hatred towards ourselves, of grudges, of comparison with others, of jealousy and of all unattractive qualities. When we appreciate ourselves instead of envying others, we are actually at peace with ourselves. When we see our beauty and positive points instead of our faults, we are at peace with ourselves. When we love ourselves instead of hating ourselves, we are actually at peace with ourselves.

How Do We Pray?

How Do We Pray? (With You)
Many people have wrong ideas when they pray and worship. They think that they must pray in a special way to receive an answer from God. They think that they should use certain words or pray for a long time or in a certain place. But these conditions are not necessary. God answers our prayers according to our faith, not according to the words or methods we use. Our God is all-knowing.

Underage Marriage: Afghanistan's Record is Still Black

Underage Marriage: Afghanistan's Record is Still Black (Colour of Life)
Human rights in Afghanistan say that despite declines in the registration of underage marriages, the number of such marriages in Afghanistan remains high. The commission is particularly concerned about the rise in the number of underage marriages in insecure areas in our country. But in the capital, Kabul, there are many girls whose childhoods have been gambled and forced into marriage. This problem is not limited to poor and low-income families. Even wealthy families, on occasion, for some reason, marry their daughters before reaching legal age. The belief that the daughter is owned by the people is rooted in the public mentality of the society and has a cultural and economic dimension, and this way of looking at the daughters has left the parents, especially the father, in the marriage of the girl's children. Families with the girl's early marriage, on the other hand, hand over responsibility for the care of the other person to the "husband", who is a form of evasion of responsibility due to security and social conditions. On the other hand, it is economically convenient for them, not having to pay for their daughter's life and education. "

Some women who fail to raise a few children say that their children are born at the will of their husband or their husband's family. There are also women who have had several children at the will of their husbands, but only themselves are responsible for the care of their children. Maryam says: After the babies are born, my husband says: You are responsible for the care of the children and I only feed and spend for you. Another woman named Shakariya says: "I only wanted two children but my husband wanted to have many children. Now I have six children. My husband has poor eyesight and cannot work. I am now wondering how to provide for the costs and expenses of our parents in this unemployment and difficult economic situation. ”

Zahra, a 13-year-old girl who has just had an operation, says: The baby was not born naturally, so I underwent two surgeries and was very busy, suffering from pain and restless sleep. The effect of all this pain and surgery is that my husband was given to me when I was old, and my existence was not yet ready for pregnancy.
