Prayer - Fellowship With God

Prayer - Fellowship With God (With You)
Prayer is talking to God and confiding in Him. When we pray, God is more interested in our hearts than in our words. In prayer, we should bring what we have in our hearts to God, not just repeat the words we have memorized to God or words that we don’t understand. In prayer, God is more interested in establishing a relationship with us than anything else. He wants words that come from the bottom of our hearts, not just special formal words.

Warning to the Rich

Warning to the Rich (With You)
When we look at these verses, we see how the rich exploit the helpless and oppressed. They take advantage of their energy and hard work, and do not pay them. God hears the cries of such people and sends pain and suffering to the rich who love money. From these verses we learn that whether we are employers or workers, we must recognize that God is present in our lives, and we must do what is right.

Be Patient and Pray (With You)
We will encounter problems, hardships and difficulties, according to God's will, to test our faith. God wants to grow us through these tough situations, and to improve our responses and attitudes. If we complain and criticize in times of hardship and persecution, we have in fact complained to God. But the good news is that the real Judge, Jesus Christ, is coming again. He hears our complaints and protests. He will soon return to judge this world. He will judge everyone—believers and unbelievers.

James 5:1-6 - Warning to Rich Oppressors

James 5:1-6 - Warning to Rich Oppressors (James for Everyone)
Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you

A Warning to the Rich People

A Warning to the Rich People (The Epistle of James: Faith That Works)
Rich people need to rely on God and not on their wealth. Rich and wealthy people have to help others who are in need. Jesus in Matthew 6:19-24 gives us a guideline that we should store our wealth in heaven, which means we should help others, be kind and love others. Rich people should also practice justice and righteousness. Some rich people are using poor people for their own advantage or they do not give proper wages to their workers. God is the judge and He sees everything. It does not matter if we are rich or poor, we all have to seek God’s kingdom and rely on God in our daily lives. We cannot rely on our own wealth or power or fame.

Patience and Praying

Patience and Praying (The Epistle of James: Faith That Works)
James 5:7-12 teaches us that we should be patient during life challenges. You might ask how long we have to be patient? The answer is till the Lord comes back. When the Bible teaches us to be patient, we have hope and are active in sharing the Gospel. Usually, people swear when they do not have patience. Swearing does not change anything and does not help either. The Bible is clear that we should not swear.

James 5:13-20 - Pray With Faith (James for Everyone)
There are many things in human life because some of us do not know about them and they seem strange to us. Once upon a time, when there was no radio in Afghanistan and people who saw it abroad told people about it, they could not believe their chats. But when the radio came to Afghanistan, people really saw it and believed that a box was talking and telling people about the world. In the same way, people had the same opinion about television. Decades ago, when the Internet was created in other parts of the world but had not yet arrived in Afghanistan, people did not believe such a thing existed.

Prayer and Healing

Prayer and Healing (The Epistle of James: Faith That Works)
James 5:13-20 teaches us the importance of prayer in our Christian life. The Christian life starts with a prayer of faith in Jesus and ends with prayer. We pray in the morning when we wake up to thank God for the day, and we pray at night when we go to sleep and give our life to Jesus. Jesus can heal us from our sins and our physical/emotional sickness as well. All Christians experience the healing touch of Jesus in life. Let’s continue to pray and ask Jesus to heal us, our families and our land.
